ID8 catalyses great ideas, and accelerates growth.

Sometimes, it's not enough to have great ideas, a world-class team, a perfect product:market fit, and a once-in-a-lifetime market opportunity.

Sometimes, you also need Experience, Expertise and Guanxi to help you navigate the complex paths towards starting and scaling your business, fundraising, managing growth (or the lack thereof), sales, payments, customer support, operations, public policy, legislation, regulation, compliance and more.

Sometimes, it's the right advice that matters.

Sometimes, it's the weekly check-in - the ongoing scheduled conversation with someone who has been there, struggled and overcome (or failed), and who can listen, share and guide.

Sometimes, it's the right introduction made by the right person at the right time which becomes the catalyst transforming your future. Shooting 10,000 arrows into the dark will never create as much value.

The ID8 Accelerator exists to share our Experience, Expertise and Network to help you accelerate the growth of your business.

We have been there, for better and sometimes for worse.

Our principal, Jeffrey Haas, failed with his first online poker start-up in 2003. Since then, he has worked for 20+ years in Sr. Management and Executive roles with gaming companies that have experienced substantial success, including:

  • Ongame (PokerRoom.com) sold to bwin for €600m in 2006;
  • PokerStars sold to Amaya for $4.9b to Amaya in 2014;
  • World Poker Tour sold for $35m to Ourgame in 2015;
  • Bwin.Party PLC sold for $1.6b to GVC PLC in 2015;
  • DraftKings IPO in 2020;
  • CoinSmart Financial IPO in 2021 then sale to WonderFi in 2023

While past performance is not indicative of future results, what kind of experience do you want in your corner when something catches fire?

We coach founders and exec teams. We act as informal advisors.

From creative concepts to rabid ideation, from fundraising to capital allocation strategies, to operational efficiency and hyper-growth, we can guide you, and connect you to other experts who may know better.

Our terms of engagement are flexible, but a typical Advisor arrangement looks like:

  • We have a regular scheduled call, with time and cadence TBD. Preference is a 30-minute recurring weekly appointment to stay current and accountable.
  • We have a full, open and transparent conversation about what's on your mind, your business performance, your problems, and brainstorming about potential solutions. Actions always noted, and always followed-up.
  • No cash compensation until/unless FCF generative.
  • Equity compensation component vesting over X years. No cliff.
  • Mutual 30-day termination provision. Either party can walk away for any reason at any time.

This arrangement is already in place for select companies across the Gaming, Gambling, Media, FinTech and Crypto universes.

Please ask for references. And always (always) check references.
